Mazda Speed3 vs Honda Type R
This is a rece with no clear winner, as Mazda is yet to decide when to release the new SPEED3.
This is a rece with no clear winner, as Nissan is yet to decide where to place the new Nissan Pulsar. It will definatelly be interesting in the future though !
Why is this car grinning? Because it’s got 263 rip-snortin’ horses behind that big smile. Too bad they’re so unruly. Still, we like its menacing hot-hatch styling with new-for-‘13 black body trim, and its well-equipped interior, which at long last is available with a proper touch-screen navigation system.
With it's 263hp, 2.3 l engine, this a real pocket rocket ! No golf gti is standing on it's way !
The data is sure to confirm that with 0-100mph in 6.2 dead and a quarter mile in 14.5 this is decent competitor for the newly developed TYPE -R.
But is it enough to be a match for the mighty 310 bhp Honda Civic Type R?
The Honda Type R 2016 on the other hand is a whole different story. It is ready, it is built and tested and it's here to stay ! Not only does the 2016 Honda Civic Type R look better in white than it did in that grainy magazine ad photo that leaked out, but it also has way more power than we imagined. How does 310 horsepower strike your fancy?
Autocar has details on what they're calling the fastest and most powerful front-wheel drive hot hatchback in existence. The 310 horsepower and 295 pound-feet of torque at just 2500 RPM (in a Honda! Jesus!) come from a 2.0-liter turbocharged i-VTEC four. The zero to 62 mph (100 km/hr) dash happens in 5.7 seconds, and top speed is 167 mph.
And the styling is just much better in my opinion than the one that Nissan made ! The Mazda just looks like a...well, a bit childish, a bit cheap.
