2. The 1967 Ford Mustang
1968 Ford Mustang was used as the skeleton for the creation of fastback featured in Tokyo Drift. It took two years for the automakers to bolt in the Nissan Skyline GT-R engine in the 1967 model. The motor used was the 430-inch Windsor motor with 9-inch rear end and a spool that’s capable of producing almost 500 horsepower.
To enable the front-mount inter cooler to access enough air supply, the additional headlights were taken down. In addition, pro racing seats were placed, the brakes were improved and seven spoke wheels and a rear roll cage were added to the Mustang. None of the cars were damaged during filming – great news for the enthusiasts who didn’t wait too long and immediately invested around $16,000 to $25,000 to buy such a car. For know five out of the six last Mustangs were sold in Southern California, on Ebay and the Recycler.
3. Honda S2000
