brz 2017
We’ve been keeping up-to-date with the changes that the BRZ/FRS has been undergoing, we're more than curious to find out what the next big modification would be. With the 2017 Subaru BRZ officially out, we’re wondering whether the number of updates it received are sufficient enough to make us buy one. An STI version of the BRZ was a bit far-fetched, but considering the changes – well... the new BRZ is undoubtedly ahead of its current competitors.

First Impressions

The first thing that impressed us was the marvelous Brembo brakes and 17-inch aluminum alloy wheels it received, which while a bit unexpected for a 205hp car, it does make sense, having in mind that the BRZ’s owners would normally go for aftermarket power add-ons. Now they have it all sorted out straight from scratch. The front-end while only subtly changed, gives the car more aggressive look.

The Engine !

The car is geared with the direct-and-port-injected 2.0-liter SUBARU BOXER engine connected to a 6-speed manual transmission with revised ratios.  The engine is rearward and also placed much lower giving the BRZ much better balance, low center of gravity, lightning reflexes, and exceptional rear-wheel drive handling dynamics. The BRZ also comes with Sachs dampers, ensuring smoother ride and giving you better control while cornering, as well as restyled LED headlights and taillights. The sport seats are bolstered and have perfect sports car positioning to make you connect even better with the car.

The new 4.2 LCD screen makes the performance smarter, incorporating driver information like a digital G-force meter and lap time display. Further the new steering wheel controls will make sure you are at all time focused and in full control of your badass soundtrack.
The BRZ will be available for purchase in September 2016.
